Flamenco guitar built by the artisan Gerundino Fernández Llamas, son of the great master Gerundino and born in 1974 in Almeria. From a very early age, he helped his parents with construction-related tasks, such as sanding wood, putting pawns or gluing backs and boards. He has also great knowledge regarding woods because his uncle Eladio often took him to locate, cut and select the best woods for his father. It is in 2015 when he decides to continue his family’s tradition and begins to build his own guitars using his father’s technique, tools, and woods. The finishes and sound quality of his guitars are incredible, keeping the typical sound of a Gerundina.
The selection of woods used for this instrument is cedar of exceptional sound quality and top quality grain for the soundboard and cypress of stunning beauty and features for the body (sides and back), almost impossible to find nowadays. The woods were provided to him by his brother Eladio, who owned unbeatable quality woods…
Thanks to the perfect selection of woods Gerundino used on this instrument, its sound is absolutely extraordinary, offering exquisite power and depth on the bass strings, together with crystalline and clear trebles, as well as enviable balance and projection. The sound is typical and exclusive to Gerundinos’ guitars, and it is absolutely extraordinary.
The pulsation of this guitar is of medium tension with the strings at the perfect height for performance.
The guitar is new.
