We would like to highlight the First Prize and the Prize to the Best Acoustics on the International Competition of the Unesco of guitar builders in Paris, 1988.
The selection of woods used for this instrument is german pine spruce of extraordinary sound quality and top quality grain for the soundboard, and stunning cypress for the body (sides and back), its features impressing. These woods are very hard to find nowadays and were provided by his brother Eladio, who had in his possession woods of unsurpassable quality.
Thanks to the perfect selection of woods Gerundino used on this instrument, its sound is absolutely extraordinary, offering exquisite depth and power on the bass strings, together with crystalline and clean trebles, as well as enviable balance and projection. The sound is typical and exclusive to Gerundino’s guitars, and absolutely extraordinary.
Gerundino passed away in 2006.
The pulsation of this guitar is of medium tension with the strings at the perfect height for performance.
The guitar is in an excellent condition, completely original. It only has a little crack under the bridge, which has been fully repaired and revarnished.
