We would like to highlight the First Prize and Prize to the best acoustics in the International Unesco Competition of Guitar builders in Paris, 1988.
The selection of woods used for this instrument is: german pine spruce of exceptional sound quality and with top quality grain for the soundboard, and stunning cypress for the body (sides and back), its features beautiful, almost impossible to find nowadays… The woods were provided by his brother Eladio, who owned woods of unbeatable quality.
Thanks to the perfect selection of woods Gerundino used on this instrument, its sound is absolutely extraordinary, offering exquisite depth and power on the bass strings, together with crystalline and clean trebles, as well as enviable balance and projection. The sound is that typical and exclusive to Gerundino, absolutely extraordinary.
Gerundino passed away in 2006.
The pulsation of this guitar is of medium tension with the strings at perfect height for performance.
The guitar is in an excellent condition, completely original and without any kind of crack; it has only been revarnished.
