Flamenco guitar built by the guitar builder Gerundino Fernández Llamas, son of the great master Gerundino. He was born in Almería in 1974, and from a very early age, he helped his parents with tasks related to the construction of guitars, such as sanding woods, laying pawns or gluing boards and backs. He has also a vast knowledge of the woods used, thanks to his uncle Eladio, who took him many times to locate, cut and select the best woods for his father. In 2015 he decides to continue the tradition of his family, building his own guitars using the same techniques, tools, and woods as his father before him. The sound and finishes of his guitars are remarkable, always respecting the typical sound of a ‘Gerundina’.
The selection of woods used for this instrument is cedar of extraordinary sound quality and top quality grain for the soundboard, and stunning Indian rosewood for the body (sides and back), its features impressing. Woods of this quality are almost impossible to find nowadays and were provided by his uncle Eladio, who had in his possession woods of unsurpassable quality.
Thanks to the perfect selection of woods Gerundino used on this instrument, its sound is absolutely extraordinary, offering exquisite depth and power on the bass strings, together with crystalline and clean trebles, as well as enviable balance and projection. The sound is typical and exclusive to Gerundino’s guitars, and absolutely extraordinary.
The pulsation of this guitar is of medium tension with the strings at the perfect height for performance.
The guitar is new.
